Meet the Photographer

Hi, I’m TK!
I started out my professional life studying to be a Costume designer. I loved creating worlds and stories through fabric and colors. In the course of my learning, though, I took a course called Photography for Designers, and suddenly a whole new world opened up to me. One where I could mix all the aspects of theatre that I loved, all into one genre: Photography.
Then I discovered Disney, or rather, Disney found me. Both sides of my family, at one time or another, have worked for the company, so Disney was in my blood. But I never really thought working there was an option for me…till I discovered the College Program and how amazing the Photopass department was. Within 3 days of my interview, I had a shot working photopass at the Happiest Place on Earth…and that was just the first step.
That’s where I learned how to capture memories, to tell stories, to help make fantasy a reality. And I absolutely loved it. Working in Photopass, and later in Disney Fine Art Photography, opened up a world of possibilities that I had never really knew existed for me. To live life as a working Photographer, helping to capture and create memories. How amazing was that?
Then after my time with Disney Fine Art Photography was over, I went back home, determined to bring a little bit of that fantasy with me and start my own studio.
First I started in Weddings & Portraits... but how do weddings in Tennessee even compare to Disney Weddings? So soon I narrowed in and specialized, till I found a passion in Boudoir & Fantasy. Where I could celebrate intimacy and the art of the beautiful human form, while still creating a little bit of fantasy and whimsy.
But, while I do specialize in Boudoir & Fantasy sessions, I still do sometimes take on Elopements, small Weddings, and Commercial Photography sessions on a case-by-case basis!
So, if you’d like to chat and see if we’d be a good fit for your session, (or talk about buying an art piece or other topic)
